Do you know a superfood called quinoa?
Quinoa is a plant that grows even in harsh alpine areas. It is also very nutritious, so it has been popular as "the mother of all grains" in the Andean region since the ancient Inca era. According to the Mayo clinic, high GI (a glycemic index) can cause large increases in blood sugar levels. On the other hand, low GI foods can help losing weight or maintaining a healthy weight, planning and eating healthier meals, and maintaining blood sugar levels as part of a diabetes treatment plan. Although a glycemic index of 55 or below is considered low, Quinoa's GI is about 53 because of its abundant fiber and protein. Moreover, they are effective to keep you feeling full for longer.
These are why quinoa is also recognized as an effective food for eradicating hunger and malnutrition based on the UN announcements, why don't you eat quinoa and eat a nutritious meal?
